Coming from a long line of traditional musicians as far back as three brothers who left Glenties for Tyrone during the famine, my music forms part of a continuum through the generations. I seek share this ancient tradition, newly reimagined for this generation, transforming the experience of being alive and connected.
Join me in the beautiful surroundings of St Bartholomews in Dublin on the 25th February.
A lawyer by trade, I woke up one morning convinced that music was also a critical part of my life. I come from an unbroken line of fiddle players stretching back to the 1840s. I played as a hobby but had learnt by ear and had no music education. I attended a three week course in Bulgaria. Within three weeks, I had composed for and recorded with a full orchestra. After, that, wild horses couldn't hold me back. I composed and recorded my debut album, Amergin Fire during lockdown. I was truly thrilled by its critical reception.

Music of spirit and soul, balm for a weary heart
Pure passion, pure joy, pure grit and pure inspiration
I am fascinated by the music of Seán Ó Riada. His deep respect for and immersion in our ancient tradition whilst incorporating modern techniques resonates with me as a composer. I am first and foremost, a traditional musician. Everything I do comes from this fundamental starting point.
The beautful gentle spiritual melodies of County Clare, the joy, humour, quirk and driving energy of the Donegal style, and the pure celebration of melody that I find in my own native Fermanagh never cease to inspire me.
